I saw the movie when it was on cable. I loved the music, so I bought the soundtrack CD right away. I saw the DVD on eBay and decided to add it to my collection. It's a nice movie with an interesting, but sometimes incredible, plot. Samuel L. Jackson play a blues man well and Christina Ricci proves she's grown up since The Addams Family. To quote Joe Bob Briggs, "check it out."

A great printer, but ...
The printer prints great photos up to 13x19". The price you pay, though, is that the thing is huge and heavy. Also, the wireless setup was difficult. It's connected to my Mac, but I haven't gotten it to work on a Win10 laptop yet.

Voodoo Noir
Mickey Rourke plays Harry Angel, a low-budget, hard-boiled private eye in 1955 New York. Louis Cyphre (played by Robert DeNiro) a wealthy, mysterious eccentric hires Angel to track down singer Johnny Favorite. Favorite disappeared in 1943 leaving Cyphre with an unfulfilled contract, a contract which Cyphre wants to collect.
Angel follows the leads from New York, to the country, Coney Island, and eventually New Orleans. He meets some unsavory characters such as a drug addict doctor, a straight razor wielding blues player and a beautiful fortune teller (played by Charlotte Rampling). Unfortunately, most of Favorite’s acquaintances suffer grisly deaths soon after talking to Harry. Harry meets Favorite’s daughter, a voodoo priestess (Lisa Bonet). Their relationship develops as he gets closer to solving the mystery.
ANGEL HEART is an interesting hard boiled private eye movie with a twist of the supernatural. To call it a supernatural thriller would be a misnomer as the movie is quite slow at times. Interesting, but it moves with the slow, deliberate pace of an investigation.
The mood of the movie is perfect. It is a hot, sweaty, beautifully shot bit of noir. There is plenty of religious symbolism and flashes that hint at the solution to come.
While it ends with a great twist, the movie is one that even knowing the ending it remains entertaining with repeated viewing. It’s worth adding to your collection.
