Works as designed with a few drawbacks

This camera grip / battery pack does its job but I have a few issues with it. The zoom wheel is too "loose" and I often bump it accidentally, causing me to switch between cameras on the G5 when I don't mean to. Also, sometimes the slide button to turn on the camera doesn't respond to the first press. Also it seems that the half-press on the shutter button always focuses in the center of the frame, which is not very useful. All in all, at a steeply discounted price, it is worth a try if you think you might like it.
