About
I'm a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren and mom to two of the handsomest sons in the world. I became disabled in 2010 and am now getting by on less than half my income when I was able to work. Thank God for eBay to help me try to get by.

Bloodline/Sidney Sheldon/1977 1st edition
I read this book in paperback in the late 70's early 80's and had read it a few times. The read was so well written and suspenseful. Kept me guessing "who done it". My paperback fell apart and I've been looking for a hardback and found it on eBay. I've bought 4 or 5 books in hardback and 1in paperback of books I read years ago and when I really enjoy a book I will read it again & again.
In this case the storyline takes place in a huge worldwide, family owned, billion $$$ pharmaceutical business. Each division is operated by a family member. When the current head of the company dies unexpectedly in a climbing accident in Switzerland and problems in the company have lawsuits brought about and it seems as if someone is sabotaging the company to force the sale of stock to outside interests so whomever is behind all the current problems and unexplained and unexpected deaths behind all the intrigue keeps you enthralled in the story from beginning to end.

Go Ask Alice
1 of 1 found this helpful I originally had this book in paperback when I was about 14 and it made a huge impact on my life and how I viewed the struggles of being a teenager and wanting to fit in with the in crowd. It forced me to look at how being "cool" could lead you in the wrong directions in your life if you weren't prepared for the consequences, and in the world of drugs there are many terrifying things to face, and most kids I knew just thought of the "good" things they were told they could experience and when I read this book, which was so simply & honestly written, it sent all kinds of warning signals off in my head and I knew I didn't ever want to take the chance and end up living the uncertain life "Alice" lived. I wish there had been a similar book from a boys point of view because the boys I grew up with couldn't relate to a girl telling the story. I'm now 54 and still impacted by this book and want to share it with some young people I know.

The Thorn Birds
Loved it in the 70's & had it in PB but it fell apart over the years. Now I have it in HB w/DJ and though it's old and pages are yellowed and used I love reading it again.
