Works for me!
I have a mid range (1khz) 30 db hearing loss due to an industrial accident the tone control has positions that peak various frequency bands and I found 1 setting that makes intelligible almost every phone call, whether it comes from a cell or land line with adequate volume to spare

Fantastic Audio DSP solution
ideal for portable qrp rigs that lack DSP. Also improves audio on my IC-7300 by removing the last bit of noise. Battery life a bit short, but easy to deal with.
