Nice tenor ukulele
I ordered it because I wanted to try out the tenor size and this brand had some good reviews. I needed something that did not cost so much, too.
I really like this ukulele. I would rate it 4.5 stars or even 5 stars. It has a good sound and good resonance and sustain. The tuners work well. Straps buttons on the heel and end. I don't like the heel button, but that has nothing to do with this particular uke. I don't like it on any uke. It tips too easily. So I use the end strap button and then tie the other end at the nut.
It is a laminate but does not feel heavy. The finish is satin and is pretty nice. There are a couple of tiny places that don't seem to have finish on, but they aren't noticeable. You have to look for them. The name on the head and the sound hole design are actually cut into the wood.- not cheapy stickers. Very nice. There are no side markers for the fret positions, but a silver sharpie can take care of that.
Set up seems to be good. I measured from the bottom of the string to the top of the 12th fret and it was spot on.
The fret ends are the biggest problem and that can be fixed. The ends are rough - not rough enough to cut but enough to be irritating. No biggie. Watched a couple of youtube videos, bought painter's tape and a pack of small metal files. Very easy to fix those ends.
This ukulele is definitely worth the money I paid for it and even more. I am very happy with it!
