Charming, quirky, and unique puzzle platformer.
1 of 1 found this helpful Concept:
In Chibi-Robo you will control a tiny robot who brings happiness to the troubled Sanderson family and the various other eccentric occupants of their household (toys, animals, etc.).
Graphics:
The graphics have aged relatively well for a GC era game. The character models are a bit low poly but the cartoonish character design has aged better than many more "realistic" styles from the time.
Sound:
As Chibi-Robo walks, cleans, and climbs music notes are played to accompany him. These provide the melody for the background music. This gives the game a very cute and unique touch.
Dialogue/Characters/Story:
The dialogue is sharp, witty, and will frequently earn a laugh or giggle. The game has an excellent English language localization.
This game has a large cast of eccentric loveable characters. Just one example is the family's daughter, Jenny, who seems to think she is a frog and only speaks in ribbits.
The characters are the lifelbood of the story in Chibi-Robo. It's all about their lives and dilemmas and Chibi helping them out. Many of which are memorable and entertaining, enough so to gush to your friends about. I won't provide any spoilers, so I will leave it at that.
Gameplay:
Chibi-Robo is 3D puzzle platformer with lots of exploration.
Explore the Sanderson household as a tiny robot (he's no more than a few inches tall). Use electrical outlets to recharge your battery along the way. Earn happiness points and "moolah" for cleaning and helping characters out. Gain various items and upgrades. These items and upgrades will be used to access new areas and progress questlines. The game also contains a day and night cycle, with different characters and events accessible during the night or day.
Controls:
Controls and camera feel dated compared to modern standards, but you will easily become accustomed to them over the course of your playthrough.
Conclusion:
This game should be in any Gamecube owner's library. It's simply too charming to pass up. The controls and graphics are by no means a deal breaker. Given things like the memorable characters and the little touches such as the sound design, there's nothing quite like Chibi-Robo.

Good but tiny
The charms are very high quality and seem quite durable. The only downside is they seem a little on the tiny side compared to other anime keychains I have owned.
