Gibson SG Standard Style Guitar Case
1 of 1 found this helpful The Canadian made, Gibson logo case available for all SG's now comes in black with an off white plush interior. This model will fit all Gibson SG Models and is appropriate for everything from an Epiphone SG (or even various Asian made knock offs) to the current line of Gibson SG guitars, from the Faded Special, to the 61 Reissue, to the beautiful SG Custom.
The current model standard case features plywood construction covered in a black snakeskin tolex. Well padded plush interior in an off white non reactive synthetic fur. Also features chrome hardware and a 3 number combination lock. Keep in mind that once you set your combination, if you forget it there is no way to reset it once it is locked and it will have to be broken, hence so many used gibson cases have the locks busted from previous forgetful owners (I would see then all the time at my previous job as a bix box guitar store used gear buyer).
As with all cases, buying the factory correct one that was meant to go with the guitar will ensure a correct fit. As is the case with the gibson model, you will be guaranteed to have a trouble free storage of your fine Gibson SG guitar. If you plan on flying quite often, you may want to look into a custom made "flight case". But for all practical purposes aside the very extreme, this standard case should be a perfectly functional and adequate purchase.

A good solution to a simple problem.
This is a good solution to a simple problem: Korean and other Asian made imports have a large size thread for their bridges that prevents a player from using a Gibson style posted bridge.
For the price and feature it's a great deal, but be aware that even among the Korean made parts, these conversion posts will fit: however they fit snugly in some and loose in others due to the lack of consistency in the threading in the bridge posts from Asia.
However if this is the part you need, this part will do the job. For that and the quality of workmanship I give 5 Stars.

As close as you can get to Telefunken.
Simply put these tubes are made with the old Telefunken tooling and materials. As of recent they are hard to find, due to inconsistency in the politics and workforce of the factories of the region, production has been halted and remaining stock is rare.
I used a quartet of these EL84 6bq5 tubes as direct replacement in a real 1965 Vox AC30 candy panel amplifier. They were three dimensional in tone and fat and compressed when driven. If you are looking for an authentic sound from the 1960's these are the closest tube to a time machine.
