Initial D ruined by bad video quality and translations
For the price I thought it would be worth replacing my aged box sets, but, the low frame rate and subtitle quality is really disappointing. The price was similar to each season when I originally purchased each so I guess you get what you pay for.
The difference in sharpness is most apparent from season 4 onward. The original set of season 4 I bought really changed Inital D for me, it was sharp and much improved over the previous seasons... watching this new "entire" set, it has a very choppy frame rate.
Subtitles are also very choppy. At times I can't make sense of what is being said or who is being mentioned because the translations of names are different, and incorrect grammar or words make phrases into nonsense. If you've ever watched Friends, there's an episode where Joey writes a letter of recommendation for Chandler and Monica who are trying to adopt a child. He uses a thesaurus to make his letter sound more "sophisticated", but it's nonsense. Here's the example:
(1)They are warm, nice people with big hearts. (2)They are humid prepossessing Homo Sapiens with full sized aortic pumps...
The subtitles are not that extreme, but try reading entire episodes with occasional nonsense like that and keep reading conversations while trying to understand the last sentence. It is frustrating.
Like I said, you get what you pay for. This is a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and get good box sets if it's still around, this version is a waste of money.

Good but the original was better
The original had a better storyline and good controls. This game was fun but the original was better, with better progression and filled gaps in the first movie that always made me wonder.

Perfect for submitting cards, just as good for cards not being sent in for grading that need better protection then binder pages.
