Mile wide, inch deep
This game takes a long time to complete if you play the side quests. But like most recent assassin's creed games, the gameplay is an inch deep. There is no substantive gameplay beyond fighting. You can roam around a sprawling map with dozens of cities, many that look identical to others, and filled with NPCs you can't interact with. The story isn't so compelling as to save the game. But if you've enjoyed previous iterations of the fight-focused assassins creed games, then you'll almost certainly have fun putting 50+ hours into this one.
