Multi-handset (8) capable with small desktop footprint

Versatile phone system I had for a while with a few extra handsets when a drink got spilled in the base unit. Toasted the base after a couple of days. Found this refurbished unit for $50.00 (seller had about 150 of them left when I bought this one) and would have probably paid a lot more to restore the system. It will handle up to eight handsets on one base unit, I have four (1 in base and three remote) on this one. I also have another Panasonic KX-TG5200M series 5.8 Ghz system in my home that is totally incompatible with this base unit & its handsets. I have an additional two handsets on this other system. They work in total harmony with one another. If I pick up a handset on this system and someone picks up another extension powered the other Panasonic base, there's NO interference between the two base units. This is a problem I had experienced with the older 2.4 Ghz units. For the record; I also have another Panasonic 2.4 Ghz cellular/bluetooth compatible system in this household with an extra handset and they all seem to work together
