really a bit early to review - the question is how does it stand up to time

The plastic is about as thick as you would want, and 3M is supposed to know what they are doing with glues so I hope it stays on strong. My application was hopefully to stop growth of a crack in a plexiglass windshield. This is challenging, perhaps beyond the intent of the product. On a taillight I have little doubt the tendency for cracks to grow would be far less. It was very easy to apply, surely the most important part is cleaning anything off the surface so the glue can really grab the lens, not a layer of dirt or wax over it. This kind of repair falls somewhere between temporary and permanent, because it will not be "right", but will be close enough that it may be there for a very long time.

solid visible portion has a good quality look, inside tank portion is reasonably substantial, not thin

OK, so it took me a minute or two to realize it had reverse thread on the inside....still installed it without instructions, the way projects are meant to be. And it works fine.
