battery=fail, light=great if you have the batteries.
Opened the package and the batteries. Installed them into the flashlight. They were dead. I then realized I have a piece that does not work. However, I have to purchase 4 batteries to make it work. I already have 1 flashlight like this. I know how good they are. This is why I purchased it. I am a bit upset that it does not work right out of the package.

The Mantle
I have used other mantles on the Humphrey like the Coleman. I would like to say that is why I reordered this. I have a 1963 Mallard Camping trailer with a Humphrey light in it. I found these. What a wonderful item. They do exactly what you expect. They work. They are larger and are what the original light was designed for. Thank you for providing them. If anyone has a Humphrey light or a similar one, you know how a Coleman don't do the light justice. This mantle works. Got to love it when the product does exactly what it said it would do.

All hype and no base.
Pros:
It is simple to use and easy to clean. It won't rust. You do not have to put oil on the surface. Overall that part is the best thing going for it.
Cons:
*I have found in making a toasted tuna fish sandwich with cheese, the cheese and tuna rolls out and the sandwich is flat. The sandwich is 2 super thin pieces of bread surrounded by filling . If I toast the bread first and then put on the cheese and tuna and then cheese and toast and heat it up, it seems to work a bit better, but it still leaks out.
*I made toasted cheese sandwiches. "fail". I have done this several times with plain bread and buttered the outside. To get the bread to toast, you have to get the piece hot enough that the cheese runs out and gurgles around the inside of the pan and between the bread and the pan edge. Again, the bread is super thin with all the stuff running out of it. I may toast the bread first and then add cheese and try heating to see if this works better.
Would I purchase this again? 50/50, 60/40 no. I have yet to agree that it is as amazing as it claims to be. I have only done a few things with it.
