Great book for new puppies
When my son and I adopted two Pit puppies from the ASPCA, they included in the price of adoption eight obedience lessons that we were highly motivated to attend. The puppies were NOT housebroken and needed lots of training. The puppies were just three months old. The ASPCA recommended the book How to Teach a New Dog Old Tricks by Ian Dunbar. Though it is an old method it has worked beautifully. It is a very kind and very successful way of training your new puppy. It has now been almost three months and the puppies are doing beautifully. They are both housebroken, know how to sit, down, leave it and come. They are well behaved and we are very proud of them. Using the methods in the book has made that happen.

Bury the Lead
I love his books, I have started at the beginning of his series and will slowly get through to them all. He is very funny. He writes an excellent courtroom drama, similar to Martini and Grisham, but funnier. The best part of his books, though, is his relationship with his dog, Tara. Love it! Guess you have to be a dog lover to love his books, but maybe not.

Loved this book.
I enjoy Eberhardt's books. I enjoy courtroom drama. My biggest complaint is that he only wrote three books. All three are twisty and leave you totally surprised. I would love to write to him and ask why he stopped writing.
