After market (?) lens cap appears to be OK
Based on its price ($ 2) this 77mm lens cap must be an after market knock off. It is identical in most respects to the original Nikon cap right down to the product markings and the prominent logo. The only thing I am suspicious of, however, is that it may not have enough threads to attach securely on the liens. I knocked it off at first use and resolved to take more care in future, which isn't a bad thing.
