Overheating on a 99 ML430

I replaced water pump, thermostat, temp sending unit, fan clutch and finally the radiator. I asked a mechanic about the problem he said I could have an air lock so I brought a air lift tool, (not my problem). The new radiator was not getting hot. I saw the site I brought the first thermostat from was now selling them at a closeout price of $1 that I spent $42 on. My mechanic friend said thermostats don't fail. They do. I installed this thermostat finally it worked! Wish I brought this one in the first place I could have saved a lot of money & time. It is set at a lower temp then the original one was.

My luck

The part I got from you worked but unfortunately I believe the main board went and I brought a new dishwasher yesterday. The main pump seal was leaking too on the 5 year old one. My luck the brand new one the door rubs on the top side. Service appointment made.
