Jennifer Cruse is wittty and carries the pace.
Fairly snappy dialog as expected with Crusie...sexual encounters of book are handled in her usual seductive, but good taste manner...not quite another Bet Me, but a good read.

History Unfolds.....
This is actually a Christmas Present for my partner. She had mentioned it as a book she would like to have. I did open it up and checked to be sure that all was as it should be...it is...and I'll find out how she likes it Christmas morning! I find Ken Burns to be 100% top drawer in everything he does...so I have every confidence it will be outstanding.

Love those Dempseys
Faking It brings us a dose of Davy Dempsey, brother to Sophie and Amy from J. Crusie's Welcome To Temptation. I especially enjoyed this book, since I was a Fine Arts major about a million years ago. I thought she was very in tune with the Art world she brought to life. The Goodnight Women are great, as usual Crusie has given us some strong women who just happen to have a few little quirks here and there. Davy is a great character, and I was happy to get to know him better. I especially enjoy that Jennifer Crusie is comfortable creating men who are capable of using their "little heads" but generally refrain from doing ALL OF THEIR THINKING with those "little heads!" Refreshing, and if more men could find a balance of this sort, the world might be a better and more fun place! It was fun to meet Daddy Dempsey too...and nice of him to appreciate Dorcus, a minor character in the story. I wouldn't mind reading more of the Dempsey clan's adventures...Scarlett too, along with the other Goodnight ladies could assuredly bring us more of your entertaining style and add to our loving your host of characters!
