Xmas gift my Mom may not receive....
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this for my 80 year old Mother - I'm counting on the super simple threading and auto needle threading to help her enjoy sewing again. I thought I'd better try it out before I give it to her, and now I'm in love with it! Mind you, I already have three machines, 2 Singer and 1 lil'Elna - but this machine is amazing! Quiet stitching, quick push button stitch selection..... so easy! If you've never owned a sewing machine before, or if it's time to replace your old monster - this is a great choice!
12/18/15 Addendum: HAD to give my Mom her present before xmas because she kept complaining about all the things she couldn't mend or make because of her old machine - I've sewn a couple things for her already, still hoping her macular degeneration treatments return enough of her eyesight to make sewing fun for her again!

Excellent Text book - intelligent format for learning!
I had originally planned to purchase the 2009 Edition, but opted for 2006 as the cost was lower - now that I've had time to look thru this earlier edition, I will purchase the latest version without worry - the information is clearly presented, with adequate cross references; situational tests of knowledge are helpful (yep, I'll be able to figure out EVERY episode of 'House' before he does from now on - gee, won't that take all the fun out of watching?). I would have rated this 'Excellent', but I've just started using it.....
