Excellent Lens for the Nikon D90. Fast for action or sports. I love it!!!
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this lens to use with my Nikon D90. The main purpose was for shooting indoors at dog shows, trying to get clear movement when the dog is moved for the judge. Well, it works!!!! This lens is so fast, it captured the dog without a blur. What a bargain compared to the much higher priced Nikon 80-200 f/2.8. I read and read the reviews. Everyone said, be careful this lens wouldn't work with all digital cameras. The only problem I find is if I move the apeture ring by mistake, then the lens won't work, you get an error. It needs to be on the green 22 to work automatically. A huge plus, but my only complaint so far is that it's built like a tank and weighs almost as much as one. It's pretty heavy and adds considerable weight to your bag, so be ready for that. I can't compare directly to the Nikon lens having never owned it, but am very happy that I got this one! I have owned two other Tokinas with my film Nikon FM, so I'm really not surprised with the excellent quality of this lens.

Very good replacement
Two screws and one plug, and we have ice cubes! Very easy to install. One thing that we were not told is that there is a thermostat inside the ice maker. It has to be frozen for up to 24 hours before it will start making ice. So I put the icemaker in the freezer, then installed it the next day. It did not take long for the first cubes to drop out after installation!

This lens is the real deal. Again a great product made by Tokina!
1 of 1 found this helpful Are you kiddin' me? This is an excellent lens for the money. I have owned Tokina's for years. Yes, I am not a professional making a living at photography, but my friend is, and she's buying them now too after seeing my photos! Why spend the money on the brand name when you can get a real heavy metal made lens in a Tokina. Plus the fast, fast speed enables you to get movement shots clearer than you expected! I also purchased a used 80-200 f/2.8 and am having the same good experience with it! I gave the size/weight a 4 because these are very well made tanks. They are very heavy. I don't know how that compares with Nikon or Cannon of the same caliber, but you have to 'be in shape' to lug the 80-200 around. But the payoff is worth it, plus I'm expecting it to last years for me.
I'm submitting this quick rating just to people know this lens is not a fake. This lens is the real deal! And yes, I've already recommended this to a friend and more.
