Great for kayaking and windsurfing gear
This case will hold all the pdfs, paddles, spray skirts, dagger boards, wet suits, mast bases and extensions, and other accessories used by two people. When the case is open in the back of our van, the top makes a good, roomy waterproof tub to hold wet gear until we get home. When the van is needed for other purposes, it is easy to pull the case out of the van and store it (with all the gear in one place) in a corner of the garage. It even looks to be mouse-proof. Not sure whether I would trust it to airline baggage handler though. (As another reviewer commented, the pins in the hinges did tend to wander, but I simply replaced them with longer piece of stainless wire and bent over the ends.)

top quality music stand shaft
This is the same shaft that is standard on Manhasset stands...and it does everything it is famous for. I wanted an adjustable length pole to make a stand to hold either my cello or bass clarinet when switching between them at gigs, and this shaft works perfectly; sturdy enough to hold the instrument securely, and easily adjustable in height, but it doesn't adjust by itself when it shouldn't.

Inexpensive ligature
Basic ligature that seems to work fine. The dimensions for the cap (cover) given in the description are accurate...but the cap is too big to fit snugly; next time, I'll buy just the ligature.
