Just useful
A well designed little tool that fits the hand well and gets a nice shape on modern fret sizes, it's way too deeply slotted for very small frets as one might find on a classical guitar or older acoustic, but such small frets need less work and are easier to shape with a file.

A really good switch
It's hard to get excited about a switch, but this one is special. 4 pole with 5 unique positions. It lacks the "between" positions of traditional switches, so more creative possibilities are available, but it uses 3 poles to do standard strat switching. There is no point having one unless you know you need one, but it's the way to achieve clever coil combinations. I use one in a HH guitar for inner coils at position 2 and neck in parallel in position 4. I have another that splits my strat's stacked single coils in positions 2 and 4 and uses a different tone capacitor for bridge, neck and middle and a third in notch positions. It's a really good way to have a handful of usable tones at your fingertips rather than juggling a main switch, push/pull pots and rotary controls.
The switch has a nice feel to it, clicky but not stiff and I don't accidlentally overshoot positions like I sometimes do on cheaper 5 ways.
If you want to do clever switching that needs this style of switch, then this is worth it, but it's overkill to just do strat switching or standard HSH switching.
