Good, but not great

Good up grade from the Audigy and adds some newer outs for computer driven Hometheaters and compressed audio listining, Not much better on the gaming side and the loss of the IEE1394 port for video transfering.

For under $50 you won't be upset

This 10 year old unit is fine for a spare bedroom or garage setup, but lacks many basic functions you expect from a HT AVR. Pro's Auto speaker setup (if you can get one with the mic) Con's HDMI not true support/connection, will have to connect audio from source or output from TV to hear sound. Only sends video, they hide this fact by saying the HDMI supports pass through from source to display, which means the unit does not decode audio via HDMI.
