It's A Lightweight
1 of 1 found this helpful More of the same from China. It is flimsy, but will serve my needs as a seed-starting station. The marketing picture is deceiving - that much weight on the shelves would never work. The shelves are held in place by the rounded shoulder area of the slide-on rubber stoppers and the shelves will slide over the shoulder very easily with actual weight on the shelves. The material used is very thin and I don't expect the paint/coating to last. Need more Made In U.S.A. options called out by ebay.

Danger Lurks
The Good: It's the kitschy popper it's supposed to be. The Bad: The popped kernels get jammed in the bottom where the correctly-measured amount of kernels are poured, which burns the corn and overheats the unit. The Ugly: Disney has no shame when it comes to turning a buck. Walt would be ashamed. Will look to see if it can be recycled rather than dumped in a landfill.
