Great CPU for older computers
1 of 1 found this helpful Back in the day the Q9550 was one of the fastest cpu's around. Today a new core I3 can outperform it but only by a little. This CPU can make a HUGE improvement in an older compatible computer that only has a core 2 duo. We were unable to use new Projection software with the old core 2 duo E7500. Dropped this cpu in with NO other changes to the stock HP 3000 computer and now the new Projector software runs like a champ.
For less than $30 it's a super cpu.

Just the right price and performance to bring new life to old PC
This old Quad Core CPU is the sweet spot for price vs performance when you need to upgrade an older intel computer. No where near as fast as current processors but then of course you can't use current processors in old computers. Used this to upgrade from a dual core E8400 and by Passmarks ratings it is twice as fast as the 8400 despite the slight reduction in frequency from the E8400. Worth the upgrade in order to get a couple more years out of an old PC.

Awesome monitor for cheap!. Extra USB ports are very convenient.
Great monitor for the money.
Picture is sharp and bright and love the extra USB ports.
I prefer the older 5:4 monitors over widescreens because due to native resolution differances images and text are larger which is great for older eyes.
Build quality is great.
