I can't give this vacuum my endorsement

I got this vacuum on May 25, 2022. In August it started having trouble with the roller not working and it would squeal. I was outside the return window for Ebay, but it has a 1 year warranty. I contacted Eureka, and they did respond quickly. However they make you jump through hoops. I had to take pictures, do troubleshooting, send receipt and if you don't do this fast enough they close your case. I was told since it was purchased off of Ebay, regardless of it being brand new, They wouldn't honor the warranty. Their reason is Ebay sells seconds or refurbished items only. Even after I proved it was brand new. I attempted to repair it, but the motor for the roller was dead, it seized. Plus the pinion gear was on the shaft backwards so the belt could just slide off. So maybe it was a second sold as brand new? I don't know. I will never buy from Eureka again. I replaced it with a great Black + Decker Model that uses a detachable cordless battery. I only bought the Eureka because many reviews praised it. For the three months it worked... Hey, it was a good little vacuum. That's all I have to say about that.
