Well made, works well.
I bought this device to make a light for my home-made SMD magnifyer. The magnifyer will be built from a Panasonic HC-V700 video camera suspended upside-down from a full-height collapsible tripod, both of which I've had for years but didn't use much. I have acquired a set of macro lenses from China and all I need now is a 46mm filter adapter ring to place in the ring light in order to attach it to my lens. The HD image from the camera will go to an unused monitor via HDMI cable. The cost of the new parts will have been about $35 and I will get to use some of my old stuff again that would have otherwise simply languished in a closet. The light itself is well built and the brightness knob functions smoothly through its entire range. The light is bright and the LEDs are angled inward so they produce a diffused dot several inches across, which is exactly what I wanted. The camera and lenses also work well and together with the light they will give me about 8 inches of space between the lens and the circuit boards I am working on. This has similar performance to a true SMD microscope without costing an arm and a leg and doesn't force you to compromise your work by using the cheap Chinese magnifying cameras available online.

Stronger than plastic clamps but may have casting irregularities
This clamp isn't perfect but it fits my need. The hole through the foot is 1 millimeter wider than the articulating lamp post I bought it for but it was the closest I could find. The hole through which the screw goes is slightly off-center but not noticeably once the clamp is in place on your table. It holds fast tightly and is not likely to break. I use it with an IKEA articulating table lamp with the clamp clamping the flat disk-shaped base directly to my table and there it works great.

Good quality - you get what you pay for.
This switch was a bit expensive with the shipping to my location, and it contained a waterproof boot for the toggle that I didn't need, but it solved my problem well enough. If you want to avoid the cheap imitations then this is a good choice.
