Really good music well executed and good sound quality .

Musicianship of all four band members is really high even in the live situation , most of the tracks are original , or at the least interesting and all of them played really well - highly professionally but with enthusiasm .

In a few words - as suggested - very good music performed by the very good band .

Soft Machine is for my ears a band that comprises elements of jazz and rock . Some of their compositions include abstract and free parts without established rhythm patterns or tonal centres and key progression ( reminds me of RIO band Henry Cow ) , but the majority of the tracks are well crafted and performed by excellent musicians brilliantly - or at least more than competently . Like with any music of the last fifty years it is not only matter of your particular musical tastes , but also matter of familiarity and appreciation of any band ant their over-all output , and of course your expectation.
