Great tough tire - Schwalbe Marathon Plus and Tour
The Marathon Plus and this Tour version tires are great for being puncture resistant & long lasting. This taller tread rides quietly straight & just a little noise on corners. People say they are a little heavier but are My Favorite and I don't have to baby them. Moved up a width and fenders adjust to just fit :- )

Ice Bound - Nielsen
An outstanding adventure to a place where people of different backgrounds live in a small interdependent group. Struggle with machines, past relationships, accidents, weather. Then learn from, entertain and support each other. Jerri echos the spirit of the lone voyagers but in a year among friends on high frozen fresh water.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus bike tires - tough for touring or city riding.
It may go years without a flat. Nicely made, good reflector stripe. It may cost & weigh more but more rubber goes further and does it without problems. A great touring tire.
