The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
This particular film is too specific to the culture and time it was filmed...in the 40's in England... "in" jokes, ie the moniker Colonel Blimp. It was too far over the top for me. I am a fan of Powell and Pressburger, but I am giving this one away.

Great Style
I was drawn to purchase this DVD and was delighted with the style and class of the production. It has become one of my favorite opera theaters, and I always check to see what Teatro Regio di Parma offers with any given opera DVD I am looking to purchase.

It's Ingmar Bergman...there's nothing more real than that.
It's about boy becoming a man...loving a woman...and taking genuine responsibility.
I really liked it.
