Battery completely depleted
9 of 9 found this helpful At first, I was unable to get the battery in this keyboard to charge. It came with the battery completely discharged to the point that it would not charge with the tablet attached. I knew that I had to jump start it charging the keyboard micro USB port. However, when I plugged the charging cable to it, the charging light would turn on for a few seconds and then turned off aborting the charge cycle. I was ready to return the keyboard until I tried a second and third try. It took me about six more tries before it eventually stopped aborting the charge cycle. Now, it seems to be working, but I am worried about the longevity of this keyboard battery as I have read that completely discharging this type of battery is harmful to it.

Bad quality control.
1 of 1 found this helpful The refurbished unit came with a defective left speaker (the sound from it was sort of scratchy). I also noticed a misalignment between the screen and the frame, like a bulge, near where the left speaker is located. Being a good engineer I decided to take a look by disassembling the unit and notice the cables for the Wi-Fi card was routed incorrectly causing the bulge and a bending of the nearby speaker. I just had to re-route the cables and everything became fine. I guess quality control of refurbished units is not important to Dell.

Pleasantly surprised
As others have said, it is a beautiful phone. Battery last longer than expected, about a day and a half. Over 5 hrs SOT. It is slippery, so you may need a case. Very good value. Very happy with it.
