Not sure it can hold a 1200lb engine
I purchased this as a stand for a VW motor (240lbs). Once assembled with the engine mounted, the upright portion leaned WAY too much. I ended up adding some addtional bolts and backing plates to the crossmember where it attaches to the legs (parts with the wheels).
