Pyramid Arcade: Should be in every boardgamers collection
When I first saw this game, I thought that it would be almost a joke. I thought someone used these cool looking pyramids and made sub par games out of them. Then I saw the review from Tom Vasel on The Dice Tower about it and was very intrigued. I highly suggest you watch it because it sums up what I'm going to say perfectly.
There are 22 games in the box and more suggested ones and ones that you can download the rules for. But for simplicity, let me just talk about what you get. Along with the pyramids, you get various boards and accessories to play the games.
The presentation is top notch. It has a very clean look and the rulebook is laid out very well and is easy to understand.
Now the games. They are all REALLY good games. Not only are they fun, but many are easy to teach. There are games for all player counts 1-10. There are area control games. There is one game, Home Worlds that is incredibly intricate and deep! Definitely NOT what I was expecting.
The company that made this game has had some games involving the pyramids and also is responsible for the huge success which is Fluxx. The designer also have a great backstory about Looney Labs (the company) and their history with the Pyramids.
Bottom line, look into this. They have several videos in which they show their games and how to play them on YouTube. Look into it and buy it! They should be available at your friendly local game store or on Looney Labs website

Shining Force is awesome
2 of 2 found this helpful The game's premise is simply gathering warriors together in "The Shining Force" and beating the game's objective. The game uses simple rules for grid like combat, but there is much strategy still.
Shining Force, Shining Force II and Shining Force CD are must plays if you have a Sega Genesis/Sega CD.
If you like strategy role playing games but don't want to memorize a novel in order to learn how to play it...you won't be disappointed.
