Apple MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop (2008) A1304 MB940LL/A Dual Core READ

Very Capable Computer

Early Macbook Air. 2008. Dual Core Intel Processor. 2GB RAM. Still a very capable computer. The one I bought came with Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard). You could get along very well with that. I had a USB disc drive (Apple Superdrive) and Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard install discs ( you could probably find both on eBay ) and upgraded the operating system. With OS 10.6 installed I was able to download a free upgrade to the latest Mac OS (currently Yosemite 10.10.5) and it works perfectly. I am using the computer for email and web browsing. Even with only 2GB RAM, it is wonderfully fast and a pleasure to work on. It is light, well built. It detected my wireless printer (Brother) and took seconds to add it to the system. You could easily download required applications. I use an Internet Security/Virus Protection program (Norton) and and Text Editor (Pages). The 120 GB hard drive is plenty for my needs. Looking to the future, the battery is good and is user replaceable, and the hard drive can also be upgraded. The biggest limitation will probably be the non-upgradeable 2GB RAM. You could get a newer Macbook Air with more RAM (for more money) but I think this computer will serve my requirements for a good long time.

Easy Repair.

If your door handle is broken, this is the perfect fit. There are two screws on the inside of the door to secure the handle. Save the screws from the old door. Just gently pry off the screw hole covers and slightly lift the handle bracket to line up the screws with the access holes.
