Save your money.
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased 3 of these thermometers to keep track of temperatures in 3 different places. They arrived indicating the same temperatures as to where the magnetic indicators were. However, two of the thermometers had gaps in their liquid, while one had liquid above its magnetic indicator. I followed the included directions of how to remove any liquid gaps, but to no avail, the attempts only caused a second thermometer to leak fluid above the magnetic indicators.
Basically, these are junk, for the 3 thermometers each read 3 different temperatures, and each one does not come reasonably close to the temperature an accurate thermometer indicates.

Adequate, but won't last.
Construction is adequate, but won't tolerate too heavy a cooking load. The solar cooker heats to impressive temperatures, hot enough to burn the paint off the rack. My major complaint is rust, (quality of the steel.) New, out of the box, there were rust spots where the protective finish was chipped, or of inadequate thickness. I'm not talking minor surface rust either. After sitting out over a few rainstorms, other areas of rust have proliferated.
For the price, it is an acceptable unit to experiment with solar cooking, but as a survival or long term investment, spending more for a corrosion resistance unit would be highly recommended.
