Easy to install

Excellent rear tire.
I I've toured thousands of miles on these, front and rear. I think they are an excellent wearing and grippy rear tire for mixed terrain. Not the best front tire though, tends to wash out in lose dry conditions.

Tight fit
I measured my legs and according to the specs i ordered a medium size. Definitely fits very tight at first but breaks in pretty quick. Rubberized elastic top and bottom, but top seems to roll down easily. Not sure if a large would have fit better, but going to stay with the medium. Pads don't slip down during riding, including technical riding sitting and seated. They seem relatively burly and would protect knees very well with a decent fall. Don't really notice them at all when cycling. Ride with them on both the up and the down.
