Review Davis Whale Tale
Installed very easily. Just have to be careful to make sure it is lined up straight otherwise it probably will affect your steering & performance. Did a before install & after install test ride with a few friends to get their observations. Tail is installed on a 19' Century open fish with a 115 hp 4 st Yamaha.
It was unanimous that this add-on was well worth the small amount of money difference with the different plastic "tails". Time to get on plane showed a huge difference with the Davis "tail"; much better now...very quick. Also, a big, big change with a porpoising before & way less after install, almost as good as trim tabs being installed. Highly recommended to install this add-on with smaller boats like mine that were a little sluggish before install.

Keep it in my small soft fishing tackle box as it is perfect size because it folds & doesn't take a lot of room. Unbelievably sharp for filleting fish
