powdered steel serrated bread knife
it am not totally happy with this knife. my complaints are just a matter of taste. i would have preferred that this knife had a straight back and a pointed tip. other than that it is really nice. one day i will get something closer but for now, this is the best i can do. it was a good price and is what it claims: sg2 powdered steel for one of the hardest and longest lasting edges. i generally prefer a softer steel to sharpen, but i don't plan to sharpen this myself so a serrated edge is the only cutting board kitchen knife i have in this steel. the damascus is a pretty effect. generally shun has terrible quality control. they do offer free sharpening for the life of the knife, but that is only from certified sellers. so the discount is not as great if you figure in the cost to resharpen it later. all in all, one of the better deals on kitchen knives out there.

not too heavy, loose weave, nubby, mint condition, soft, narrow width, nice print, perfect, thanx again
