Aventador Gloves
I received my Aventador Gloves yesterday. I like them.
Why the Aventador? because the Weatherkings were sold out, and the cost was a little better for me, just in case the gloves were junk.
First Impression: the gloves look good. They look/feel well built, and the insulation uniform with no thin spots. There are no dexterity issues beyond the obvious (it is a winter glove). Its appearance and feel leave no doubt as to its intended use.
Sizing issues: Other reviews indicate the Olympia gloves run a tad large. I ordered a large, knowing that they may be a smidge too big, but equally worried that a medium was too small and would definitely need to be returned. I'm sticking with the large. Plus a liner still works perfectly well. In import gloves I typically wear an XL, and in my River Road Cheyennes, the large fits well, but too tight with liners. If Olympia made a Med-Large version, it would have been perfect fit. I assume equal fit on all of the Olympia gloves.
Warmth:
upper 30's no problem for medium rides (1 hour)
low 30's no problem short to medium rides (30 min)
upper 20's short rides (15 min)
mid-upper 30's w/Liners Longer rides should be ok (1-2 hrs)
I am not sure you can get any non-heated gloves to go much lower than this.
They are about 5-8 degrees better than my River Road Cheyenne gloves.
I'm happy with my Aventador purchase, but not ecstatic. However, I will gladly buy Olympia Gloves again. In fact, I have already ordered a milder weather (40's to 60's) Leather Gauntlet, Traveler #8800.

The Skateboard Book, Ben Davidson, 1979 revision
This is a revised version of the original 1976 book by Davidson. The revised printing added a nicely detailed section on skateparks. Although this revision was released in 1979, the added park section is more geared towards the early 1977 timeframe. The remainder of the book is untouched from the 1976 printing.
The benefit of The Skateboard Book (either printing) is in historical value of what skateboarding was about in the mid 70's. It takes it back to a time when it wasn an activity that was enjoyed for simply being fun and thrilling. The equipment section is right out of the 1975 time frame. Good details of loose ball bearing wheels and build-ups, for those that never got a chance to see them.

Sea Doo Prop removal tool
I couldn’t have separated my prop from the pump without it. I wish I would have ordered it the same time that I ordered my other parts!
