Luxury watch rip off
With a retail price of $ 4.100 plus tax, this watch is highly overpriced. The Valjoux movement (used by many luxury watch manufacturers ) is in general an amazing movement. However, Baume has done a lousy job with this one as the balance wheel is loud and chirpy and can be heard constantly. It sounds plasticky and cheap like a Chinese knockoff watch. I had the watch examined by a reputed jeweler (Rolex, Breitling etc) and he said that it is indeed a genuine Valjoux movement but that the placement and finishing by Baume was less than acceptable for that price. Luckily I bought mine second hand for a very good price and from an excellent vendor and since I love the design and finishing of the case and bracelet of the watch I’m still happy with my purchase.
