Do your homework before you buy.
1 of 1 found this helpful First of all, don't take this as a negative review. The best review I can give is to do your homework before you buy. I thought I did. I had Honeywell thermostats in my house and I was going to change them for the WIFI type. When they arrived, I tried installing them in my system, a 2008 three-zone system with three separate thermostats. I followed all directions and even went to the Honeywell chat line. There I was given the sequence of terminals that should have worked. I tried it. No joy. I went back online and dug deeper into the Honeywell site and finally found that they were not compatible with my system. Probably due to the age. They are well made and I'm sure they''ll work in the right systems. The Honeywell web page has some very detailed descriptions and diagrams for changing one type to another. So check it out before you buy.

For light rigs only
I got a dozen of these recently and tried them twice. Once with #1 planers and the second time with rock fish rigs. I couldn't get them to stay on no matter what I tried. They might be ok for a 1/4 oz spinner but do not work well with any weight attached.

Doesn't work with some pump start relays
The reason for my no recommendation is that this controller will not work with lots of different pump start relays. It only seems to want to work with the Orbit relay. I tried two different relays. When you contact the company, they keep pointing you toward a bad relay or motor, even when you tell them your system was working the day before you changed controllers. I went to the Orbit forum and saw many problems the same. This is a design flaw in the controller and should be addressed by Orbit. The good cost of the controller is outweighted by the 50 bucks you'll have to spend for the 6 dollar Orbit pump start relay packaged in a 40 dollar plastic box.
The controller works very well once it's working.
