This memoir presents a very scattered but insightful look into Eva Hoffman's development as a Polish refugee living on the American continent. It also chronicles her attempts to find a central point with which to define her life which feels so scattered. The novel was very enjoyable and, despite a sense of clutter to her memories, reads relatively smoothly.
