Great value
My air-cooled Beetle has gone through several Halfords Batteries over the last few years, and none of them have lasted the warrantee period. The usual pattern of events was for the battery to fail after two years, giving me one year warrantee left on the replacement battery. Halford's would always honour the three year warrantee, but it would be nice if the battery would last a bit longer than they have been. This new Bosch battery has a slightly larger amp hour rating, it has a four year warrantee instead of Halford's three and it was a bit cheaper! And it's a Bosch! It arrived very well packaged the next day. The car is now running a treat on it.

Plated steel good, stainless better.
I feel a bit guilty for clicking NO to "is it good quality?" and "is it good value?"
It worked fine; but during the twelve hours that my apple pulp was dripping through the bag, the plating on the metal hoop caused the jelly bag that actually touched it to go black. Fortunately this was away from the main load in the bag and wasn't transferred to the pulp passing through the bag.
After I had dismantled the device and washed it up, the metal frame started to go rusty. However, all the black staining washed out of the bag.
It worked perfectly and the problem with the plating didn't affect my jelly.... This time.
But such a shame the metal parts couldn't have been made from stainless steel.
