Light, beautiful, strong and faultless performance
3 of 3 found this helpful I've been looking for a light and small pit reel to combine with a couple of 13' Feeder Rods for some distance fishing for bream and carp. Although these are not exactly cheap, the quality shines through as soon as you un-box it. They are deceptively light and balance a distance feeder rod perfectly - they really do not look out of place. And what looks too! Beautiful reel that any tackle tart would be proud of. I have only fished a single session, chucking a 40gr feeder 60yds. Not a great distance but importantly, when loaded with 6lb mono and a shock leader, it's an effortless experience. Line lay is fantastic, possibly the best on any reel I have ever owned and the bonus is that it comes with some spool reducers that means it does not take a ridiculous amount of backing. I think i put 150yds of 6lb Maxima on and it sat perfectly. I can see me getting years of use out of the reel and am already considering another because it's just so light, so effective. Very, very happy customer. Nice work Shimano.

Brilliant system
1 of 1 found this helpful I love this system. It now allows me to carry less hook boxes. I simply have a store of the rig sticks and pull out the ones i want for a session. Just slot them in and away you go. The box is robust and the rig sticks sit nice and firm inside. I don't know how weather proof they are as it's just not rained this summer! Highly recommended.
