Decent Headlights, Great Price
After 26 years, I decided to replace the headlights in my 89 Bronco II. Locating fair priced OEM Ford Logo lights for this is tough and for a vehicle I use daily and off road, I went with these. The lense mold appears the same as OEM minus the FORD logo. My vehicle looks pretty rough on the outside. Inside it is very clean and I like to keep vehicles as close to OEM as possible, right down to the nuts and bolts. Using these headlights, the grill bottom securing fasteners are not usable. You would need to change to a screw or something. The mounting hole should be round. Being I want the original fastener, I removed the headlights from the buckets and installed them in my original buckets. I also had to modify the tilt adjuster (simple) to fit my OEM buckets. Why? Removing my original headlights from the original buckets broke the adjuster mounts that attach to the headlights so I had to use the new ones. because the OEM adjusters are a different hex size, the OEM right angle tilt adjuster that goes up the back of the bucket would not fit on the new headlights adjuster. No big deal. Over all, putting them into an 89 Bronco or Ranger (Same front end) is possible and most can just use screws instead. With that, currently, I recommend these. It will take time to determine actual quality. Initial quality and light pattern is good. My lights (using the same bulbs I already had) is MUCH better now. Can't believe how dull my OEM lights were, even after buffing them back to clear. I assume the internal chrome was also dull after 25 years.
