Know your needs & consider using a 100W - 150W LED equivalent
3 of 3 found this helpful I give this art projector a high rating because it's what I need for my art project - it meets my need. I read some pretty low and maybe unfair reviews of this projector because many who disregard this projector seem to have needs that exceed what this product was intended for. This projector is a very basic, straight forward projector that enables me to get my picture onto my canvas where I trace the large basic shapes and sometimes some smaller details... because, when used correctly, I do get small details in my projections - a recommendation to follow - so that's what my needs are - very basic. In terms of value, with shipping I paid about $70 (Canadian) - half for the projector & half for shipping. I wouldn't go above that because for me, this is a fair price for this projector - I wouldn't pay more because this simply is not a $100 plus product! FYI: Something that helps me get very decent projections is that I use a 100 watt LED equivalent bulb - it looks like a regular bulb so it fits the same but it's brighter than the 60 watt incandescent bulb that's recommended AND the LED 100W equivalent runs very cool, eliminating heat problems some people have had. The LED also maximizes this products efficiency. So far, I've ran my projector with one original for more than six hours straight - I placed my hand on the unit and barely felt warmth & my original was still perfect & also cool to the touch. In fact, LED runs so much cooler that I'm considering going to a 150W LED - they really do eliminate heat issues that in the past limited what this projector is capable of. Anyway, I hope this helps people to decide if this is the right product for their needs and to get the most out of the projector with no heat issues.
