Pentel click eraser (for pro) ZE31-A (japan import), New, Free Shipping
    Dec 27, 2016
You have to get this eraser!
You simply have to get this eraser if you use graphite pencils at all. First, it's just so darn cute! And sooooo slim and lightweight. Great for travel or Urban Sketching. Now if you want to erase huge portions of your writing or drawing, this is not the best eraser for that kind of job. But, because it is so thin, it is precise and you can use it to erase tiny areas and single lines in detailed drawing. It erases just what you need to be erased without obliterating parts of your drawing that you don't want erased! The only other erasers this small and precise are the Tombow Mono Zero erasers. These are also small and precise, this Pentel eraser is a great addition to your kit for for slightly larger areas than the Tombow erasers can deal with. The Tombow erasers are made in a small circle and a small rectangle shapes.( I didn't measure but one or two millimeter sized!) The Pentel,is a long rectangle shape. I think that all three erasers have a place in an artist's drawing supplies, especially if the artist does detailed drawings and needs this kind of precision erasing. You can cut larger erasers into small shapes and points to do detailed erasing, but the Pentel eraser ( and the two different shapes of the Tombow erasers) do a much better job without going to the trouble of hacking away at larger erasers. I have only tried erasing graphite with this eraser, not charcoal or carbon pencils. I didn't try erasing extremely dark graphite. I used it to erase a 2 B pencil in a normal drawing of an urban landscape. If you were to overly extend the eraser then use it without being very careful, you could break the extended part of the eraser. This isn't an eraser for you're children. You do need to use it carefully or risk breaking the eraser or bending the casing. The eraser can be withdrawn back onto the casing when you are finished erasing, to protect and keep, the eraser clean.
Linocut for Artists Designers Morley The Crowood Press Paperback 9781785001451

    THE Linocut book.
I have bought many books about printmaking and specifically relief printing with linoleum. I should have bought this book first and I wouldn't have needed the other books. If you are doing Lino printmaking as an adult, this is one of the Best instruction books that Inhave read. There are maybe 2 others that I would possibly recommend. But this is definately the first Linoleum printmaking book you should read. It's informative, , answers just about every question about Linocuts and its full of photos illustrating what the text is telling you. This book isn't published in the US as of Aug 3 so rather than wait , I ordered it from the UK. So glad I did!
    Dina Wakley Media Gesso 4oz Jar-Black 789541041719

    Great for Art Journaling
Art Journaling is whatvthis gesso,is designed for, and what Dina Wakley is known for. I had tried other acrylic gesso sin my art journal but they were to thin, , and buckled the pages , too goopy and thinning it caused even worse buckling or had way too much tooth and just "ate" marker nibs, pens and wore through watercolor crayons, wc pencils and colored pencils way too fast. This gesso is so thick and creamy. It reminds me of creme franchise in consistency. It goes on smooth with a brush or spreading it with a palette knife, putty knife or old credit card. Or it takes texturing well too if that is want you want. The Black gesso is extremely dark black and very opaque. The White has excellent covering ability and is very white and opaque. The clear gesso goes on milky but dries clear. The gesso has taken everything with everything I have thrown at it, and held on to,it. And it hasn't destroyed my marker nibs, pens etc. I love knowing that I can use all kinds of water media, glue, watercolor crayons and Watercolor pencils, wax based colored pencils , watercolors, Acrylic mediums, water soluble graphite , acrylic painrs of all grades, markers of all kinds, oil, pastels, soft pastels , anything my creative vision needs to achieve the ideas in my mind and this gesso can take it! The flaws: This gesso,is only available in small 2 oz tubes or 4 oz jars, and per ounce, it is much more expensive than other gesso. So you must but small qualities at an expensive price. I would suggest the manufacture offer a larger size with a reduction in per ounce price in the larger size. I will try and experiment other gesso to see if I can find one with similar qualities , just because of the expense of this one. I like it so much I go through a 4 oz jar in no time! If I can't find a comparable and cheaper gesso, well, I will be using this one for life.
