Don't waste your money on this
Followed instructions exactly. Parts were down to bare carbon steel. Initially, finish looked okay... fairly even dark black. Next day, all covered in rust. Then more rust. RUST everywhere. Had to start from scratch... complete waste of money, this product is going to the HAZMAT area of local dump. Black Rustoleum would have been a better choice.

Survived a deployment to Iraq, and still going...
1 of 1 found this helpful My old A2 Aviator spent a year in the desert without issue, the low-light red LEDs are fantastic for vehicle operations, maintaining your night vision... press a bit harder and you've got white light. I have the old Xenon version and the original bulb is still going! Not as bright as a modern LED Surefire, but this is a tough light that offers unique functionality; Medics are fond of the blue LED version, for finding blood in the dark.
