I agree with the 4 Star and 5 Star reviewers. If one would consider the categories (meta-thoughts) the author presents and discusses when evaluating scientific and social phenomena, it would help to avoid bias, faulty reasoning, and erroneous conclusions. These techniques and skills are taught in advanced classes for psychology and counseling majors, but in a somewhat less cohesive, more scattered about manner in a four year curricula. The author has brought them together in one volume where they can best focus one's attention and effort. The book could easily take a quarter semester (9 weeks) to cover; giving grad students hands-on practice.
