Not what they used to be
Much cheaper version than previously purchased. Leather case replaced with cheap vinyl. Device has sharp prongs protruding from front that make it uncomfortable to carry in pocket or perhaps a purse. The auditory alarm button is placed on the bottom of the device and cannot disabled even when device is turned off. This makes it difficult to deploy the device without inadvertently activating the alarm. The device is very compact and it is very light. The on/off switch I'd located on the top of the device and is easily accessible. There is a built in flashlight that could be useful in some situations. All-in-all the device is a fair purchase for the price. The major drawback to this device is the prongs protruding from the front of the device. Previous versions had the electrodes recessed into the flashlight a bit and it was much more user friendly.
