Great tone but difficult to install
For the price, this set is a great value. I replaced ceramic pickups on my Epiphone Les Paul and I can immediately hear the difference: Alnico magnets are really more musical.
BUT, I do have a couple of complaints which made installation a pain.
First, the cable length for the neck pickup is too short. It's just long enough to solder to the volume pot but you can't perform the operation outside the guitar control cavity--it's that short.
Second, the tabs/ears for the bridge pickup stick out so much that I thought I couldn't fit the pickup in the cavity. It's just a little too long/wide. Depends on your guitar maybe.I had to use pliers to bend the tabs inward. Luckily that worked. So my advice: take measurements!

Perfect except for a slight modification.
Sounds great, not too thin nor fat. I used this to replace the stock ceramic one on a MIM Fender Tele FSR. The main issue is that the screws that came with this GM pickup are a wee bit fatter than the originals so I had to enlarge the holes on the bridge plate with a drill. Just a tiny scrape. And it took some effort to push this into the body cavity after installing on the plate. Probably best to install with the strings completely off.
Other than that, this is a well-made pickup!

Fits..for the most part.
It fit my Korean DOT but the screw hole for the body top didn't align with the existing hole so I had to drill an adjacent one. Plus, maybe it's my guitar but a portion of the pickguard overlaps a tiny bit, at the lower cutaway of the body. Like the cutaway is too deep for the pickguard. And I had to enlarge the screw hole for the metal L bracket, just a tiny bit. Other than that everything lined up, material is of good quality.
