Nice designs and Tutorials
Many of the designs in this book are done with a wire jig. If you do not own a jig, you can make them by hand, and it takes longer (and more difficult to achieve consistency or symmetry). Nice book!

Another Terrific Cookbook from Am. Test Kitchen
Offering an almost scientific approach to cooking, the authors of this book (chefs) list the "best" of their recipes from the previous year, citing the reasons each recipe was chosen. Each recipe has been tested dozens (and sometimes hundreds) of times with different ingredients, tools, and methods, to bring you the bottom line on how to put together successful dishes. I bought one for my sister and one for myself!

Gift recipient very pleased with this cookbook
I purchased this book for my sister, so I cannot attest to personal use. However, she LOVES it and has tried several recipes with success. She likes how it is written, she appreciated the scientic "investigation" of recipes, and appears to be very happy with it.
